The burial service of late actor Olumide Bakare held on Friday, May 26 at the St James Cathedral, Oke Bola, Ibadan, Oyo State.


Present were his wife, children and grandchildren. Artistes who attended the ceremony were Jide Kosoko, Toyin Adegbola, Akin Lewis, Ayo Mogaji and others.
The actor died in Ibadan Oyo State on his way to the hospital.
According to his personal Assistant who was with him when he died, the popular actor died in the early hours of Saturday April 22, 2017.
Bakare, who had taken ill for more than a year, was discharged from the University College Hospital (UCH) last year after he was allegedly diagnosed of having a respiratory disorder.
It was gathered that the actor was yet to fully recover from the sickness that kept him indoors for months. His health, it was learnt, got worse in the middle of the night and was said to have called his personal assistant to take him to the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan but died before he could be conveyed there.
Famous for his role as a landlord in the drama series of the 90s, “Koko House of Oluwa lambe Lodge,” he had cried out in 2016 for financial assistance to help his medical condition.
