One of the beautiful queens of the Ooni of Ife, she was a single mum before meeting the king who was forbidden by tradition to marry for a first wife (Yeyeluwa) any woman who has experienced motherhood. The reason why the Yeyeluwa crown didn’t come her way before Oloori Wuraola and then, Oloori Naomi Silekunola.
But Queen Ashley would always refer to herself as a Princess of the Source.
