Man Utd And Ajax Legend Edwin Van Der Sar Has Been Hospitalized

Manchester United and Ajax legend Edwin Van Der Sar has been hospitalized!!!

The famous goalie had a stroke while on vacation on a Croatian island, and a plane had, to take him to the hospital, according to De Telegraaf.

On Friday afternoon, Van der Sar was taken to the intensive care unit.

Ajax sent their former CEO a message of support on Twitter. It said, “On Friday, Edwin van der Sar had a bleeding around his brain.

“He is in the hospital, in the urgent care unit, and his condition is stable. Once there is more solid information, there will be a new report.

“Everyone at Ajax hopes that Edwin gets better quickly. We’ve been thinking about you.”

The 52-year-old, who won the Champions League with both Ajax and United, quit his job as CEO of the two biggest clubs in the Netherlands more than a month ago.

In 2012, he went back to his old team as the marketing director. Four years later, he was made the Chief Executive Officer.

On Friday night, Man Utd released the following statement: “Manchester United is thinking of Edwin van der Sar and his family after hearing that the renowned goalie is in serious condition.

“Edwin always gets a warm welcome when he comes back to Old Trafford because he was one of our club’s most famous and well-known goalkeepers. Between June 2005, when the Dutchman came to Manchester United from Fulham, and May 2011, when he quit football at age 40, he played in 266 games and helped the Reds win four Premier League titles, the Champions League, the Club World Cup, and other trophies under Sir Alex Ferguson.

“Everyone at United wants to join with our friends at Ajax in wishing Edwin a quick and full recovery.”
