Manchester United interim boss Michael Carrick moved closer to a Premier League record after leading his side to an impressive 3-2 comeback win against table-toppers Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The Red Devils, who went into the break level at 1-1, delivered a spirited second-half display to claim all three points, with goals coming from Bryan Mbeumo, Patrick Dorgu and late substitute Matheus Cunha.
The victory makes it back-to-back wins for Carrick since taking charge, an achievement rarely seen from managers in their opening two league matches.
Arsenal struck first in the 29th minute when defender Jurrien Timber finished off a flowing move involving Bukayo Saka and Piero Hincapie. United, however, quickly found a response as Mbeumo punished a defensive lapse from Zubimendi to draw his side level eight minutes later.
United took control shortly after the restart when Dorgu, building on his standout performance in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Manchester City, rifled a left-footed effort from outside the box to put the visitors ahead in the 51st minute.

The young midfielder was later forced off with a hamstring injury, paving the way for Cunha’s introduction. Arsenal thought they had salvaged a point when Mikel Merino headed home from a Saka corner in the 84th minute.
But United had the final say as Cunha produced a stunning 25-yard strike deep into stoppage time, silencing the home crowd and sealing a dramatic win.
The result lifts Manchester United to fourth place on the Premier League standings, one point ahead of Chelsea, while Arsenal’s advantage at the summit has now been cut to four points.
