Super Eagles Defender, Leon Balogun has joined English Premier League Club, Brighton & Hove Albion on a two-year deal.
Balogun joined the Seagulls as a Free Agent after seeing out his contract with Bundesliga side, Mainz.
Balogun played an integral part in the Super Eagles world cup qualifiers alongside Troost-Ekong.
Their Partnership has been dubbed the ”Oyinbo Wall” by Nigeria football followers.
Brighton Coach, Chris Hughton who guided the Seagulls to EPL Safety has hailed the signing of the
“Leon will add more depth to our defensive options,” said Brighton manager Chris Hughton.
“I am pleased to get our first piece of business done so early in the summer. He is in the peak years of his career and I am sure he will integrate well into the squad.
“He also has valuable experience, having played in the Bundesliga, the Europa League and at international level.”
Leon Balogun made his debut for Nigeria against Mexico in 2014 and he has appeared for the Super Eagles 16 times, he has yet to score for the Super Eagles.
