It’s heart-wrenching to lose a 42-year-old just five years after losing her dad, Senator Abiola Ajimobi. The Ajimobi family lost their eldest child, Abisola Kola-Daisi on Thursday morning in the United Kingdom
Bisola Kola-Daisi, the eldest child of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, has died at the age of 42.
The mother of three died on Thursday morning in the United Kingdom during a brief illness.
Before her death, Bisola served as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu.
She was a prominent figure in Nigeria’s luxury retail scene and a dedicated philanthropist.
Bisola is married to a well-respected Ibadan-born politician and bank executive, Kolapo Kola-Daisi.
Details regarding the funeral arrangements are yet to be announced by the family.
Meanwhile, the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has expressed condolences to Florence Ajimobi, wife of the immediate past governor of the state, Abiola Ajimobi, over the death of her daughter.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, in Ibadan, the state capital, described it “as affable and good-spirited, a sad and shocking development.”
He also commiserated with the Bashorun Kola Daisi’s family as well as the husband of the deceased, Idris Kola-Daisi.
Makinde urged both families to take heart, praying to God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss and to avert such a sad occurrence in both families.
Also, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, representing Oyo South under the All Progressives Congress in the National Assembly, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of Bisola.
Alli, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas in Ibadan, described her demise as a tragic and painful loss, not just to her family but to the state and the nation at large.
He further described her as a brilliant and accomplished professional whose contributions would be sorely missed.
The lawmaker, therefore, extended his heartfelt condolences to her husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, her beloved mother, Florence Ajimobi, and the entire Kola-Daisi and Ajimobi families.
Alli prayed that God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“Bisola was a woman of grace, intellect, and dedication, who upheld the values of excellence and service.
“Her sudden departure is deeply heartbreaking. I pray that the Almighty grants her eternal rest and comforts her loved ones in this difficult time.”
