Popular actress Kate Henshaw, who serves as the Public Relations Officer (P.R.O) of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has responded to claims made by Mr. Ibu’s wife, asserting that the association has not been supportive of him.
Kate Henshaw stressed that the AGN has always extended assistance to its members during times of financial need or health emergencies. She refuted the misinformation circulated by Mr. Ibu’s wife and clarified that the Guild has been providing assistance to the actor since 2021 when he was unwell.
Henshaw further explained that in cases of recurring health issues, the guild can only do so much, and it ultimately falls on the individual to seek additional funds for their medical needs.
She stated in part:
“Let me state categorically and vehemently that AGN has been of help to Mr. Ibu. I do understand that she is at her wit’s end; anybody would be, but to say AGN lied isn’t true.”
This statement from Kate Henshaw aims to address the perceived discrepancies regarding the support provided by the Actors Guild of Nigeria to its members, particularly in Mr. Ibu’s case.
