Sensational Nigerian artist Johnny Drille has described the inspiration for his popular song, “How Are You My Friend.” He said that the successful song was inspired by Don Jazzy’s mother’s passing. During a recent Hip TV interview, he disclosed this.
How Are You My Friend was Don Jazzy’s concept, according to Johnny Drille, and they composed it together.
He told Hip TV that Don Jazzy’s recent loss of his mother served as the idea for the song “How Are You My Friend.”
According to someone who had not heard from him in a long time, “I guess the song was his own way of talking about it.”
So, it suddenly dawned on him, “Omo, I actually have these many friends with whom I have not spoken in such a long time.”
He declared, “I think these are dangerous times as well. Economy is out of control. Many people are battling. There are many people who deal with personal issues that they might not always feel comfortable discussing. And I guess that’s why listeners were able to relate to the song.
