Pop star, Davido, has denied taking his baby mama, Sophia Momodu, on holiday to Ghana.
The singer was rumoured to have taken Sophia with their daughter, Imade, on vacation during a recent visit to Ghana.
However, Davido said in a post on Instagram on Thursday that it “would make no sense whatsoever for me to be doing such” considering his intention to marry Chioma Rowland.
He added: “My daughter’s mom had business in Ghana with Afrochella selling Imade’s hair products at stalls and I obviously was booked to perform at Afronation. I simply gave her a lift to Ghana for the sake of Imade who I didn’t want left in Lagos without her mom. It was either that or she fly economy.”
He cautioned against false news that would hurt his fiancée and disrespect her family.
Sophia and Davido had a bitter disagreement over the care of Imade. She accused him of child abduction after he attempted to travel with the child to Dubai in 2015.
They later reconciled and agreed to have Imade remain with her mother.
