This is sad indeed.

When on April 15, Patricia, the second wife of former Minister of Works died at age 74,the family was thrown into a time of mourning. She died after a protracted illness.

Just when plans were still in place for her burial, on May 14, 2017, reports filtered in that Eugene, the second son of the political stalwart and also of the late Patricia, had died at a club in Lagos.

It was learnt that Eugene Anenih, collapsed during a game at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club in Onikan. He was pronounced dead at the hospital where he was taken, it was learnt.

The deceased was the chief executive officer of Nova Finance and Securities Ltd.

Mr. Anenih worked previously at TRW Finance and Securities Limited and at Hatman Limited among other companies.

He was a Director of Thomas Wyatt Nigeria PLC since 2008.

He held a license of the Nigeria Stock Exchange Authorised Clerkship and also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Stock Brokers (CIS).

Mr. Anenih held a B.Sc in Bio- Chemistry from the University of Benin in 1990.

He attended Harvard Business School where he did his programme for Management Development in 2003.

In May 2016, there were rumours that the politician had died of a cancer-related ailment in a London hospital.

But the Uromi chief told NAN on the telephone that he was well and strong.
“If I am dead, will I be talking to you? I am in London; I am alive and enjoying myself,” he had said.

“I am not going to issue any press release to debunk the rumour.
“God will punish them. I will be back by Sunday.”
