The deceased had divorced her to marry Maryam who eventually murdered him.
For Amina Bala Shagari, who is the first wife divorced by late Bilyamin, it was time to celebrate her ‘friend’ and ex who would have clocked 36 years old on Thursday.
Amina took to Facebook and wrote:
“Will love you always .you would have been 36 today. May Allah rest your beautiful soul as people continue to say your name everyday ..you were the kind of person to leave that kind of impact in your wake and slumber. I’m sorry we drifted apart. I wanted you to have peace. I was so proud of myself for letting her have you to herself .ashe ashe .it wouldn’t even come close to being enough .my darling friend .in different points of my life you were everything.A brother who pulled my scarf when i did wrong .a friend who knew me best .we decided to get married out of pure friendship .how strong was that bond.and when we couldn’t we still found our way back to being friends.my darling.i dont have enough words .you once asked “what would u do if i die?” I promptly started crying and abused u for suggesting u would die and id be around.those tears shocked u .well if u could see me now .. the thing that was most endearing to me that probably meant nothing to you was the way you never ever ever allowed me to cross the road without holding my wrist to do it for me.it used to infuriate me before i came to expect it .id be like ” see this guy ,before him didnt i cross the road .?” (Smiles).even when we fought u held on .
even if we didnt talk u held on.it was funny,,it was special cos it was not the hand but the wrist ,as if to assure urself you wouldn’t let go .that was who you were .till i suggested i wanted ur jealous wife to have peace .i wouldnt call i said u would .and u did .whenever you could.and u saw me whenever u could.bye my love .may Allah link us up in jannah .we will love aleesha xx.” (sic)
The late Bilyamin was said to have divorced Amina because of Maryam.
He married Maryam in October 2015 and they had an eight-month-old baby together.
Meanwhile, friends and family of Bilyamin Bello, the murdered son of a former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) on Thursday night in Abuja paid him the last respect with glowing tributes and encomiums at the Unity Fountain in Abuja.
The mourners who appeared in black tops converged on their numbers in memory of the deceased who ought to have been 37 years old today. The mourners also used the occasion to mourn those who have lost their lives to domestic violence.
One of the close friends of the deceased, Ahmed, who spoke at the event said that Bilyamin was a generous young man who gave him a substantial amount of money to build his house in Abuja. He explained that he has been living in a rented apartment for several years when the deceased decided to borrow him money and even gave him the privilege to pay back till year 2020.
He described him as magnanimous, charitable and God fearing friend who have positively impacted his life. He said that his death was a rude shock adding that he would not be forgotten in a hurry because of his kindheartedness.
Others described him as an immaculate and devoted muslim who is committed to doing good for others.
Bilyamin was stabbed to death by his wife, Maryam Sanda, last Saturday following an argument that ensued after she picked his phone and saw text messages from other women.
The Nigerian police has filed a murder charge against Maryam bordering on culpable homicide for killing her husband and she was arraigned earlier today and remanded in prison custody.
