Grammys 2025: Afrobeats superstar Davido, also known as David Adeleke, has shared heartfelt congratulations to his colleague Tems after she won the Best African Music Performance category at the 67th Grammy Awards on Sunday.

Taking to social media in the early hours of Monday, the award-winning singer praised Tems for her victory, which came over strong competitors like Yemi Alade, Asake, Burna Boy, and even himself.

Grammys 2025: Tems took home the Grammy for her hit song ‘Love Me JeJe’, marking her second win. She had previously earned a Grammy for her role in Future’s chart-topping track ‘Wait For U’.

The Best African Music Performance category was highly competitive, with other nominees including Yemi Alade’s Tomorrow, Asake’s MMS, Chris Brown’s Sensational (featuring Davido and Lojay), and Burna Boy’s Higher. Notably, all the nominees were Nigerian artists, a testament to the country’s dominance in global music.

Davido shared his admiration for Tems, writing, “Congratulations to my one and only! #chrisbrown! And to the Queen @temsbaby, we are proud of you!”

The 67th Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, celebrating the best of music across various genres.
