In a ceremony full of cultural significance, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State officially presented the Staff of Office to Prince Abimbola Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo.


The historic event of installing the new Alaafin Of Oyo took place on Monday at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan, marking the beginning of a new reign following the passing of the late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III in 2022.
The event drew an array of distinguished guests, including traditional leaders, religious figures, government officials, and excited Oyo residents, who came together to witness the ascension of the 46th Alaafin.
