Rapper AbdulRasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, has remarried nine months after announcing his separation from actress cum politician Funke Akindele.
JJC Skillz married Falilat Raji, a native of Ebira, Kogi State. The wedding took place in Kano State on February 10.
Pictures and videos of the wedding recently went viral on social media. The wedding IV said the ceremony took place at Sahaba Juma’at Mosque, Kundila Housing Estate, Kano.
The wedding was attended by the rapper’s relatives and close friends.
The rapper now a filmmaker said he was originally born into a Muslim family but he never practised it as he chose to follow the faith of his mother.
He told Muslims News, “I was born a Muslim – AbdurRasheed by name. My dad, Bello is a Muslim but my mum is a Christian. Back then I used to go Islamiyah but all I remembered about it was getting beaten. They used to scare us with hellfire so I never practised.
“It’s God’s design that I will return to Islam. I thank Allah for sparing my life. I am so happy I found Islam again because it has given me peace. It has given me direction and focus. I was truly lost but now, I am found.”
JJC announced his separation from Funke in June 2022. Their union which produced twin boys lasted six years.
