The Economic and Financials Crimes Commission, EFCC, has released Senator Ike Ekweremadu, the Deputy President of the Senate, on administrative bail after questioning him over alleged graft.
It was gathered that Ekweremadu, who reported to the agency’s headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday morning, was released late in the evening.
The politician, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the main opposition party, has repeatedly said his investigation by the state is a witch-hunt after he was busted for owing several undeclared real estate investments abroad.
