Singer D’banj on Wednesday marked his ninth wedding anniversary with wife Lineo Kilgrow.
The 45-year-old shared pictures of himself and Lineo on Instagram, accompanied by a heartfelt message.
“Happy Anniversary, My Queen 🌹 It’s been 9 years of love, laughter, Greatness and beautiful children. You’ve given me inner peace, and purpose. The couple got married in a private ceremony in 2016, keeping the union away from public attention for months.
They welcomed their first child, a son named Daniel, in 2017, but tragically lost him in a drowning incident in 2018.
In 2021, the couple announced the birth of their daughter. That same year, D’banj gifted Lineo a Hermès Birkin bag and bundles of cash to celebrate her.
Over the years, the singer has continued to show affection for his wife both in public and on social media.
In 2020, he described Lineo as his “heartbeat” while celebrating their anniversary.
D’banj, whose real name is Oladapo Oyebanjo, is one of Nigeria’s most successful entertainers. He gained international fame with his 2012 hit ‘Oliver Twist’ and has won several awards including the MTV Europe Music Award and BET Award for Best International Act: Africa.
The singer and Lineo have continued to keep much of their family life away from the spotlight, but D’banj occasionally shares glimpses of their relationship on social media.
