Ghanaian actor and politician John Dumelo has announced the passing of his father, Engineer John William Kudzo Anato-Dumelo Snr, at the age of 75.

Dumelo, who is set to be sworn in as a member of parliament in three days, recalled how his father encouraged him to serve diligently in government.
Thanks for being my father, thanks for being my best friend, thanks for being my number 1 cheerleader, and thanks for everything you did for me. Say hi to mum for us all,” John Dumelo wrote, expressing his deep gratitude and love.
