Nollywood actress Bolaji Ogunmola has accused United Nigeria Airline of negligence after her scheduled flight was cancelled twice in two days, leaving her stranded in Ekiti State and forcing her to miss work commitments in Lagos.
The actress explained that she travelled to Ekiti for a job and was meant to return to Lagos on Wednesday for another filming engagement. However, repeated delays and cancellations by the airline reportedly disrupted her plans and affected her work schedule.
Taking to her Instagram page on Thursday morning, Ogunmola shared an emotional video recounting the experience and warning that she would be pursuing legal action. “Lawyer will take this up,” she said.
Narrating her ordeal, the actress stated, “I was supposed to fly yesterday. I got to the airport and they said that something happened and that flight was delayed. I waited for hours after which they said they are not flying again, that they’ve cancelled the flight.”
According to her, when she asked for alternatives, the airline offered no solution. “And I said ok, you have cancelled the flight, what’s the plan? I need to get to Lagos. They’re like ok, there’s nothing they can do. I tried Akure as well but nothing happened,” she said.
She added that she was later informed of a rescheduled flight for the following morning, which forced her to incur additional expenses. “So, this morning they said they are going to fly 8am this morning and I have to pay for hotel, pay bills. And I woke up this morning by 5am and rushed to the airport by 6:30am,” she explained.

However, the situation reportedly worsened as the departure time kept changing. “They said oh, we’re still flying, it’s not for 8am again, it’s for 9:30am… later they said the 9:30 flight has been moved to 12pm, and now they said they are going to move by 5:30, and I’m supposed to be on set,” she said.
Ogunmola lamented the lack of communication from the airline, stressing that the disruption had serious consequences. “This is very painful because you could have just sent a message because I’m working today and there was no conversation, nothing was said,” she noted.
She further revealed that she had to consider travelling by road despite safety concerns. “I’m doing this video to have evidence of what just happened to me. I’m literally stuck in a State I don’t know anybody… I have to go by road which is very unsafe and my lawyer will take this up,” she said.
Expressing her frustration, the actress accused the airline of being indifferent. “They are not remorseful, they are unfair and they don’t have any form of decency,” she added.
The incident is coming barely a month after the commencement of commercial flight operations in Ekiti State.
