Barcelona’s legend Gerard Piqué Bernabeu has announced his departure from The Catalan Giant and also his retirement from football.
The Barcelona legend and Shakira’s ex husband took to his Twitter page and posted a video with the caption: “Culers, us he de dir una cosa.” (Culers, I have something to say).

According to Fabrizo Romano, a sport journalist, he confirmed Gerard Piqué will play his final game on Saturday at Camp Nou (Barcelona) and his professional career will come to an end with immediate effect. Piqué contract will be terminated and he will forgo his remaining salary.
Pique retirement from football means, Sergio Busquet remains the only player who won the sextuples with Barcelona in the year 2009 and still plays for the club. He will be leaving the club as one of the greatest centre back in FC Barcelona’s history.

What a sensational career he has had. When asked about his future, he said “Sooner or later, I’ll be back here at Barça”,.
