Comedian, Atunyota Akpobome, popularly known as Ali Baba and his wife, Mary Akpobome, on Wednesday, celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary.
The 54-year-old comedian marked their special day by sharing several pictures of the two of them on Instagram and captioned the post, “Happy Anniversary.”
Married to astute banker, Mary Akpobome, they are one of the most prominent couples in this part of town. The duo is credited with making constant appearances at red carpet events. What, however, stands them out apart from their choice of attire is the camaraderie that exists between them which they never fail to exhibit.
Taking to Instagram today, April 15, 2020, Mary shared some nice photos with a caption, “Happy Anniversary To Us. We Thank God For Keeping Us & Family/Friends Who Have Cheered Us On. ♥️♥️♥️”
Unarguably the pioneer of stand-up comedy in Nigeria, Ali Baba has been in the business of looking good and gracing red carpet events for a long time. A trail blazer of some sort, he has obviously set the pace for others to follow and that is why his fans and foes alike look out for him and his ex banker wife, Mary at glitzy events.
Mary, on the other hand, used to be a highly placed member of staff at the now defunct Bank PHB.
In 2009, she was relieved of her position. Four years after, she returned to banking as an executive director at Heritage Bank. Now out of the banking world, she runs her sole enterprise.
