The marriage comes more than two years after Tochi lost her parents and elder brother in a helicopter accident in the United States.
Herbert Wigwe, his wife, Chizoba, and their son, Chizi, died on February 9, 2024, when the helicopter conveying them crashed near Nipton, California, during a journey from Palm Springs to Boulder City, Nevada.
The accident also claimed the lives of former Nigerian Exchange Group Chairman, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, and two crew members.
Wigwe, who was 57 at the time of his death, was a prominent figure in Nigeria’s banking industry. He served as Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings and contributed significantly to the growth and expansion of Access Bank.
His death drew widespread tributes from business leaders, politicians and members of Nigeria’s banking community.
