On April 3, actress and mother of three, Mercy Johnson-Okojie was sworn in as one of the personal aides of the Kogi State Governor, Yahya Bello.
She was appointed the Senior Special Assistant To The Governor on Entertainment, Arts and Culture.
Though she wrote an acceptance letter which was published on her social media platforma few weeks ago when her appointment was announced, Mercy and her husband, Odi still travelled to Kogi State to thank the governor and his wife.
As she was sworn in on Monday, Mercy took to Instagram to thank the governor again:
She wrote:
“Thank you so much to His Excellency, THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE, ALHAJI YAHAYA BELLO And HER EXCELLENCY, MRS RASHIDA BELLO AND EVERY SON AND DAUGHTER KOGI STATE.
AS I WAS INAUGURATED TODAY AS THE SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO HIS EXCELLENCY ON ENTERTAINMENT, ARTS AND CULTURE. I WILL NOT LET YOU ALL DOWN.” (sic)
Then she shared a photo of herself and husband and she wrote:
“He supports my every move once it’s right and tells me not to move an inch once it’s wrong. Once again he has given me his blessings on this challenge.Odi, I worship the very ground u walk on. Thank you for every opportunity, love, honesty and words.” (sic)
Also present at the inauguration ceremony was another actress, Queen Nwokoye who came to celebrate with Mercy Johnson.
