First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, saying his administration would move the country from economic reforms to prosperity if given another term.
She made the appeal on Saturday at the All Progressives Congress North-Central Mega Rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, where party members gathered to mobilise support for the President, Vice-President Kashim Shettima and other APC candidates.
The First Lady called on party supporters to take the campaign to their communities and encourage voters across the region to back the party in the 2027 general elections.
She defended the administration’s policies, highlighting what she described as progress in economic stabilisation, infrastructure, agriculture and other sectors. According to her, continuity would help sustain the gains recorded under the current government.
“President Tinubu is a man who believes in the unity, security and prosperity of our nation.
“The Independence Day message of Mr President was titled ‘From Reforms to Prosperity’.
“Therefore, Mr President is saying that they are going to reform the sector, but now is the time for prosperity, and we can see our economy is stabilising.
“Foreign exchange is going down, and investors are coming back to Nigeria, our farmers too. You can see all our governors here; they are doing infrastructural development like no other time before.
“I have been in the Senate for 12 years. This is the best time I will see the government fixing roads and building a lot of infrastructure,” she said.
Mrs Tinubu also spoke about the administration’s food support initiative, which she said was intended to improve nutrition among children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
She explained that the programme was designed to support vulnerable groups, including malnourished children who require food and treatment to grow healthily.
“As you see now, we have just finished the food bank programme, where we are helping every child and mothers who are pregnant and also breastfeeding.
“This is to ensure that they can have more nutritious food, and also the children that are malnourished can get treatment and also get food to grow healthy,” she said.
The First Lady further stated that students were benefiting from the government’s education funding initiatives, urging APC members to educate Nigerians about the administration’s programmes and policies.

She described the President as a leader prepared to make difficult decisions, expressing confidence that his policies would improve the economy and strengthen national security.
Mrs Tinubu said the government intended to continue working towards a stronger economy, safer communities and a more prosperous Nigeria if re-elected.
She also disclosed that the APC women’s wing had coordinated its campaign activities to ensure a unified message ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to her, the party would focus on explaining its policies and achievements rather than engaging in hate speech or activities capable of threatening national unity.
She concluded by urging supporters to vote for the President and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
“Therefore, vote for continuity, vote for capacity, vote for prosperity, and vote for the re-election of Mr President and all the candidates of APC from top to bottom,” she said.
The rally was hosted by Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule and attended by governors and other political leaders from across the North-Central region.
