The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the South-West zonal coordinator of the women’s wing of the City Boy Movement, over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrest to TheCable on Saturday, saying Tejuosho was taken into custody on September 8.
“She is in our custody,” Oyewale said.
Tejuosho’s arrest comes months after the anti-graft agency declared her wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged fraud.
In April, the EFCC announced that it was searching for the 41-year-old woman over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence. The commission identified her as an indigene of Lagos State and listed her last known address as House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja.
The agency had appealed to members of the public who had information about her whereabouts to contact any of its offices nationwide, the nearest police station or other security agencies.
The latest arrest follows an earlier investigation involving allegations of an appointment and contract scam.
In June 2025, the EFCC questioned Tejuosho after receiving complaints that she allegedly collected money from individuals by claiming she could secure federal government appointments and lucrative contracts for them.
Investigators alleged that she used fake appointment letters and forged documents to persuade some of the individuals that she had the ability to facilitate government appointments and contracts.
Tejuosho, who was identified as the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was later granted administrative bail while the investigation continued.
City Boy Movement Suspends Tejuosho
Following the EFCC’s declaration of Tejuosho as wanted in April, the City Boy Movement suspended her as the South-West zonal coordinator of its women’s wing.

The organisation said the suspension took immediate effect and would remain in place pending the outcome of the investigation.
According to the group, the decision was an administrative step aimed at protecting its image, credibility and ethical standards.
It also said suspending Tejuosho would give the authorities room to conduct their investigation “without interference, obstruction, or undue influence”.
The City Boy Movement is a youth-focused political advocacy organisation that supports President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda.
