Nollywood actress Mosun Filani has spoken about her marriage and explained why she stepped away from acting for several years.
The actress, speaking in an interview with BBC Yoruba, dismissed claims that she became a second wife after marrying her husband.
Filani explained that although her husband may have been married before, she did not meet another woman living with him when she got married.
“I stopped acting to focus on my family. I’m not a second wife; my husband might’ve had a marriage before, but I didn’t meet anyone in his house.
“My kids are grown; they know left from right, and it’s time for me to get back to acting”.
The actress also revealed that her decision to leave the movie industry was largely influenced by her desire to concentrate on raising her children and giving her family her full attention.

According to her, her children have now grown and are capable of making their own decisions, allowing her to return to the profession she temporarily left behind.
Filani’s return marks a new phase in her acting career after spending years away from the screen to prioritise her family.
