French President Emmanuel Macron hosted Nigerian President Bola Tinubu to a private dinner on Thursday night at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
Tinubu’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, said the meeting highlighted the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and France and the two countries’ shared interest in deepening bilateral cooperation.
Tinubu arrived in France on Sunday as he continued his three-week annual leave, having spent the first part of his holiday in London.

The President was received upon his arrival by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Emmanuel Ayodele Oke.
Tinubu also spent part of his work leave in France in September 2025.
