Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has joined the cast of Toyin Abraham’s upcoming movie, Bestie, with the filmmaker confirming that he will play the character Papa Ngozi.
Abraham announced the casting on Monday through her social media page as she continued to introduce the actors featuring in the highly anticipated production.
The inclusion of Edochie, regarded as one of the pioneers of Nollywood, has added to the anticipation surrounding the film, with fans reacting to the veteran actor’s involvement.
Announcing his role, Abraham described Edochie as a legend and expressed excitement about his participation in the project.
“Pa Pete Edochie as Papa Ngozi in BESTIE! A legend, GOAT, is in the building! BESTIE in cinemas from 16th December!” Abraham wrote.

The casting announcement has attracted reactions from fans who are looking forward to seeing Edochie in the film and watching his collaboration with Abraham.
Bestie is set for a nationwide cinema release on December 16.
The movie is the latest production from Abraham as she continues to expand her work in Nollywood both in front of and behind the camera.
