Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has announced the launch of a new spiritual movement known as the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT).

Dikeh made the announcement on Sunday through her Instagram page, describing NWPT as an interdenominational altar and a global gathering of believers committed to seeking a deeper relationship with God.

According to the actress, the movement is inspired by Mark 2:22, which states, “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.”

The announcement described NWPT as a platform for believers who are seeking genuine spiritual revival and transformation rather than what it called lukewarm Christianity.

“NWPT exists as a dwelling place of His presence for those who refuse to settle for lukewarm Christianity and are hungry for genuine revival, fire, and transformation,” the statement read.

The movement’s stated vision is “to see a global awakening of consecrated believers operating in the raw power, purity, and presence of God transforming nations and establishing the Kingdom of Christ on Earth.”

Its mission, according to the announcement, is “to build an interdenominational altar of prayer, revival, and apostolic training that equips watchmen, activates spiritual gifts, drives relentless soul winning, and delivers total freedom to the captive through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Dikeh also clarified that NWPT is not intended to function as a conventional church.

“This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God. A people set apart, refined by His presence, and commissioned to advance His Kingdom,” the statement said.

The movement is scheduled to hold weekly fellowship every Friday at 6pm.

The announcement comes months after Dikeh began using the name “Ada El-Roi” in several of her social media posts and became increasingly involved with Pastor Jerry Eze’s NSPPD community.

Her public spiritual transformation has also attracted attention, particularly following a testimony she shared in December 2025 at Streams of Joy International Church.

During the testimony, Dikeh spoke about overcoming smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation and prolonged anger issues. She disclosed that she began smoking at the age of 13 and credited God with delivering her from the struggles.

Dikeh has also had a career in politics, having entered the political arena in 2022 as a governorship running mate in Rivers State.

Earlier in 2026, she reflected publicly on her turbulent marriage to her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, a decade after their separation, before the pair later reconciled publicly and ended their longstanding feud.
