Grammy-nominated Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has opened up about recently undergoing major surgery, assuring fans that she is on the road to recovery.
The singer made the revelation in a post shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, where she apologised for her limited online presence and explained that she has been recovering from the procedure.
Although she did not reveal the reason for the surgery, the 24-year-old said her recovery has been slower than anticipated because the operation became more complicated than expected.
“Hey Mobstarrs, I’m sorry you’re not seeing as much of me as I would like. I had major surgery a few days ago. I was hoping it would be a quick recovery but it was more complicated than they expected,” she wrote.
Ayra Starr, however, reassured fans that she only needs time to recuperate before returning to music and public engagements.
