President Bola Tinubu has denounced the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, where about 30 residents were reportedly killed, describing the incident as a brutal assault on innocent civilians.
The President’s reaction was contained in a statement released on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, reportedly left about 30 people dead, including women and children, while several homes were destroyed by fire.
Reacting to the incident, Tinubu described the killings as a senseless and cowardly act, assuring Nigerians that those responsible would be brought to justice.
“Those who seek to destabilise the hard-fought peace and security, which Kaduna State has enjoyed in recent times, will not go unpunished,” the President said.
He sympathised with the bereaved families, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government and residents affected by the tragedy.
Tinubu also reassured the affected communities of the Federal Government’s commitment to tackling insecurity and restoring peace in the area.
“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly, secure the release of abducted individuals, and restore normalcy to the region,” he said.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s determination to strengthen the nation’s security system and combat criminal elements across the country.
“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” he added.
Tinubu further appealed to residents to work closely with security agencies by sharing credible information that could help prevent similar attacks.
“I urge our local communities to cooperate with security forces by providing actionable intelligence that would help early response efforts,” he said.
