Riches Sammy, the husband of Nollywood actress Nkiru Sylvanus, has reacted to widespread speculation about his wife’s health after a photo of her circulated across social media.
The image sparked concern among some users, with several suggesting that the actress looked different following her marriage. One X user wrote: “What’s really going on with some of our Nollywood celebrities? What happened to our favourite Nollywood actress Nkiru Sylvanus? Just 2 years after marriage, and she is now like this.”
Responding to the claims via Instagram, Sammy dismissed the rumours, insisting the viral image did not accurately portray what Sylvanus currently looks like.
He said he was willing to ignore the misleading photo and the comments it generated but drew the line at posts making false claims about their marriage.
“A picture that does not represent what my wife looks like has been circulating online recently. I might choose to overlook that and all the comments being made,” he wrote.
“But what I will not tolerate is someone making a derogatory or misleading caption about my marriage. I will take legal action, so be warned.”

Nkiru Sylvanus and Riches Sammy got married in January 2023. The couple held their traditional wedding on January 12 in Osisioma, Abia State, before exchanging vows at a church ceremony on January 15 in Enugu State.
