Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about his biggest concern in life, revealing that he fears not recognising the right time to step away from music.
The singer, in a recent video broadcast, said he finds it worrying to watch successful personalities lose their relevance after years of being celebrated.
Davido explained that he would like to establish a therapy centre for celebrities who have experienced a decline in fame, noting that adjusting to life away from the spotlight can be difficult.
He said, “If there is one thing I could build, I would build a therapy centre for people who were popular and very successful people. Because it is crazy to be on top of the world and the next moment you are not.”
The singer compared the experience to the world of football, where even players with remarkable achievements can still face criticism.
“Even in soccer, you win World Cup, Champions League and other trophies and people still don’t think it is enough. For instance, look at my good friend Ronaldo – after everything he’s done for football, they still laughed at him for exiting the World Cup,” he added.

Davido said his greatest fear is working hard to build a successful career only to damage it by making the wrong decisions.
“That is my greatest fear. I have worked so hard for me to come and spoil it with something. I pray to God every day to show me the right time to pack it up,” he stated.
