Singer Seyi Vibez has publicly called out fellow artiste Adekunle Gold over the latter’s newly released deluxe project, Fuji Xtra, sparking fresh controversy in the Nigerian music scene.
The disagreement began after Adekunle Gold dropped the deluxe edition on Friday, with attention drawn to a line in the track Life of the Faaji where he sang: “They love my fuji, this no be Fuji Moto”.
The lyric immediately triggered online reactions, with many interpreting it as a subtle reference to Seyi Vibez’s 2025 project Fuji Moto.
Shortly after, Seyi Vibez took to X to express his anger, launching a direct attack on Adekunle Gold.
“Adekunle Gold you’re wack. And your swag is wack. Old fool!” he wrote.
In another post, he continued his criticism, using further harsh words against the singer.
“Adekunle panda Egbon ofo! Egbon ya,” he added.
Both artistes have had overlapping creative themes in recent years, with Adekunle Gold releasing his Fuji project in 2025, while Seyi Vibez followed with Fuji Moto, a street-pop inspired body of work rooted in Fuji sounds.
