President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Saturday depart Abuja for official visits to France, Kenya, and Rwanda, where he is expected to attend major international summits and engage global leaders on economic and development issues.

The announcement was made on Friday in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

According to the statement, Tinubu will first travel to France before proceeding to Nairobi, Kenya, for the Africa-France Summit co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto.

The summit will focus on key global and continental issues including energy transition, green industrialisation, digital transformation, restructuring of global financing systems, and climate action.

Tinubu is expected to participate in the May 11–12 summit, which will also explore innovation, economic growth, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and peacebuilding across Africa.

The statement added that the President will later proceed to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum scheduled for May 14–15.

The forum, themed “Scale or Fail”, will bring together more than 2,000 business leaders, investors, and policymakers to discuss strategies for economic transformation through regional integration and cross-border investment.

He will be accompanied by ministers and senior government officials and is expected to return to Nigeria after concluding his engagements in Rwanda.
