Nigerian singer B-Red has recounted how he allegedly escaped an assassination attempt in Osogbo, Osun State, on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident reportedly happened around the Oke-Fia area near the Government House, where the singer said he was chased by suspected hoodlums while returning from Alekuwodo market.
According to B-Red, the situation began after he noticed several motorcycle riders wearing AMBO caps attempting to surround his vehicle at a traffic point under the Okefia Bridge.
He explained that moments later, a white Toyota Venza allegedly joined the pursuit, with one of the occupants shouting after identifying him.
“As I went out to buy some stuff around Alekuwodo market, I just saw some Okada riders with AMBO caps trying to surround my vehicle at a traffic point under Okefia Bridge,” he said.
“As we tried to move out, we saw a white Toyota Venza approaching, and someone shouted, ‘It is him, it is him.’”
The singer stated that the suspected attackers continued chasing his vehicle while attempting to block his path until he eventually reached the gate of the Osun State Government House in Oke-Fia.

“As we moved, the Toyota Venza pursued us, trying to block my jeep. At the same time, multiple motorcycles also joined in the chase. The chasing continued until we got to the gate of the Osun State Government House, Oke-Fia,” he added.
B-Red claimed he recognised one of the individuals involved, identifying him as “Asiri Eniba,” whom he described as a known political thug.
The matter has reportedly been reported to the police for investigation.
Reacting to the development, the Osun State Government called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the suspect. The demand was contained in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Olumo Kolapo Alimi, who urged security agencies to take swift action.
