The family of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya has announced the upcoming marriage of his daughter, Olamide Okoya, to Imran Gobir.
The news was made public on Friday by businesswoman Folashade Okoya, Chief Executive Officer of Eleganza Group, via her Instagram page. She revealed that the engagement signifies the union of two prominent families.
In a statement shared online, the families described the development as a blend of heritage, faith, and shared ideals. According to the announcement:
“In a moment defined by grace and significance, the families of Chief Razaq Akanni Okoya, CON, Aare of Lagos, and Chief (Mrs.) Folashade Okoya, MON, Bewaji of Lagos, together with the families of the late Alhaji Umar Ayinla Saro, OFR, CON, and the late Ambassador Abubakar Garba Gobir, announce the engagement of their children, marking the coming together of two distinguished lineages grounded in shared values, faith, and purpose.”
The message further emphasized the deeper meaning behind the union, stating:
“The engagement reflects not only a celebration of love, but the beginning of a partnership built on submission to Allah, mutual respect, and legacy.”
Both families expressed appreciation to Almighty Allah for the milestone and offered prayers for a marriage blessed with barakah, peace, and lasting happiness.

The joint announcement was issued by the Okoya family alongside the family of the late Alhaji Umar Ayinla Saro and the late Ambassador Abubakar Garba Gobir.
Imran Gobir, the groom-to-be, is also connected to a notable lineage, being the son of the late Abdullahi Abubakar, who once served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Iraq.
