Nollywood actress and evangelist Tonto Dikeh has publicly acknowledged her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, in a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute.
On Sunday, Dikeh took to her Instagram story to thank Churchill for giving her the gift of motherhood, describing it as “one of the most beautiful parts” of her life. She also sent warm wishes to his mother and prayed for God’s blessings upon him.
“Thank you, my Gee, for making me a mother. One of the most beautiful part of my story, and happy mothers day to your amazing mother. God bless you, Big Church,” she wrote.
Addressing critics who accused her of overdoing the praise, Dikeh insisted that her gratitude is deeply personal and genuine, noting the significance of their cooperative parenting.
“Doing too much? For the only man who has put a child in me? The world is truly a sick place, and I’m gratefull don’t let your opinions direct me,” she said.
She further reflected on the meaning of joy and healthy co-parenting, adding:
“When e reach your turn don’t thank them. How wld you understand the meaning of joy/peace that makes no sense, how wid you understand healthy Co-parenting, if I don’t show you all.”

Churchill and Dikeh’s marriage ended amid controversy in 2017, but the actress recently shared that they have “buried the hatchet.”
Churchill went on to marry his former personal assistant, Rosy Meurer, in 2021, with whom he has two children, born in March 2021 and October 2022. In 2023, Churchill denied reports of marital difficulties with Meurer.
