Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James and her husband, Femi Atere, have shared the exciting news that they are expecting their first child together.
The couple made the announcement through a heartfelt video, which featured Veekee proudly showing off her baby bump at a scenic location. In the clip, they also revealed ultrasound images of their baby while sharing intimate moments, celebrating the new chapter in their lives.
Accompanying the video, Veekee wrote: “And two shall become 3. Indeed this is only what God can do.”
Fans, colleagues, and well-wishers quickly flooded the post with congratulations and prayers for the expecting couple.
Veekee James and Femi Atere got engaged in October 2023 and later held grand traditional and white wedding ceremonies in Akwa Ibom and Lagos, respectively, in 2024.

Born Ruth Erikan James, Veekee initially enrolled at the University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom to study Biochemistry but later left to follow her passion for fashion design. She began learning to make clothes as a child and, inspired by her mother in 2019, launched her own fashion brand.
Over the years, Veekee has earned multiple accolades, including the Best Designer Award at the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) and the Fashion Stylist of the Year at the 2021 Sugar Awards, cementing her status in the fashion industry.
