President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following a state visit to Turkey.
His aircraft touched down at the presidential wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday. The presidency confirmed his arrival in a brief statement issued to state house correspondents.
Tinubu’s visit, which began on Tuesday, involved a series of bilateral meetings with Turkish officials, including President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Nigeria and Turkey in key sectors of mutual interest.

During the trip, the two countries signed nine agreements covering areas such as defence, energy, security, research, and other strategic fields.
The Nigerian delegation to Turkey included Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Lateef Fagbemi, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice; Christopher Musa, Minister of Defence; and Nuhu Ribadu, National Security Adviser.
