President Donald Trump has stated he will not grant a presidential pardon to hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently serving a four-year prison sentence for crimes related to prostitution.

Combs, 56, was convicted last July on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution.

He was acquitted of the more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. The music executive reportedly sent a letter to Trump requesting clemency.

During an interview with The New York Times published Thursday, Trump confirmed receiving Combs’ pardon request but said he was not inclined to approve it.

Asked about the possibility of pardoning deposed Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, who is facing drug trafficking charges, Trump said, “No, I don’t see that.”

Trump also indicated he has no plans to pardon disgraced crypto tycoon Sam Bankman-Fried, serving a 25-year sentence, or former Democratic senator Robert Menendez, who is serving 11 years for bribery.

Regarding Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd, Trump said, “I haven’t been asked about it.”

Since taking office, Trump has issued pardons to over 1,500 individuals connected to the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack, along with other allies.
