Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly called out his father, Mr Olalomi, accusing him of taking his personal items and repeatedly exploiting him.
In an emotional social media rant, the singer alleged that his father took his shoes, clothes and other belongings, insisting that his life was more peaceful and stable when his father was not actively involved in it.
Portable went as far as likening his experience to that of late singer Mohbad, claiming his father has been persistently after his properties and possessions.
Portable also questioned his father’s relevance in his life, stating that he never showed up for him during police troubles and did not contribute to his education. He recalled that his desire to learn tailoring was allegedly blocked by his father, who refused to support or pay for the training.

The singer further accused his father of dishonesty while handling a building project on his behalf, claiming he inflated costs and scammed him. He warned his father to stay away from his affairs and allow him live freely, stressing that he would not allow his story to end tragically.
“Anytime I have a police case, my Dad will never show up for me. What is your importance in my life? You didn’t send me to school. You are just like Baba Mohbad; you are always wearing my shoes and clothes. You can never inherit me. I will not allow you to do to me what they did to Mohbad. When I wanted to build a house, and I told him to handle it, he was always cheating me. A block of N300,000, he will call it N900,000. Leave me alone and let me live my life. You scammed me”.
The outburst has since sparked reactions online, with fans and observers expressing mixed views over the deeply personal family dispute.
