Nollywood siblings Timini Egbuson and Dakore Egbuson-Akande are mourning the passing of their father, a loss that has stirred sadness across the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Timini posted the news on Instagram on Sunday, January 4, 2026, posting photos of his late father along with the message:

“Didn’t think I’ll start the year saying this… Rest in peace Dad. So much left unsaid, but I’ll keep making you proud.”

Fans and fellow actors quickly responded with messages of sympathy. Actress Funke Akindele commented: “May Daddy’s soul rest in peace,” while actor Uzee Usman added: “So sorry for your loss… may his gentle soul rest in peace.”
