Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, has clarified that the medical reports circulating online about his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, are genuine, amid earlier disputes over their origin.
The clarification, shared on the Senator’s Instagram page on Saturday and issued by his Communication Team, came after Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja distanced itself from a viral document claiming Daniels was receiving treatment for severe substance abuse.
The disputed report, reportedly signed by the hospital’s Managing Director and Head of Clinical Services, Adekunle Adesina, stated that Daniels had been diagnosed with a substance use disorder and placed on a home-based detox programme starting September 24, 2025.
In response, Nwoko’s statement affirmed, “A medical report concerning Regina Nwoko has been circulating online. The reports are genuine.”
The Senator’s team explained that the hospital’s earlier denial was about the confidentiality of patient information, not the authenticity of the reports. “The rehabilitation centre only clarified that it did not publish or circulate the documents, which is expected because medical institutions must protect client confidentiality. They did not deny authoring the reports; their concern is the leak itself,” the statement added.
Highlighting the findings, the post urged Nigerians to examine the reports in full, noting that toxicology results were consistent and alarming: “Both the toxicology report and the Serenity Hospital report confirm the presence of the same substances, all at levels that pose serious health risks: Marijuana, Cocaine, Morphine, Opiates at extremely elevated levels, Alcohol at a critically dangerous level.”
The statement also referenced a report from Nizamiya Hospital dated October 3, which documented that Daniels was admitted unconscious following a drug overdose. “These facts are documented, consistent, and deeply alarming,” it said.

Further, the reports reportedly revealed interference from some family members that hindered the actress’s rehabilitation. “The reports also describe the challenges the rehabilitation centre faced, including persistent interference from her siblings. They openly stated that they do not see anything wrong in giving her alcohol and weed, even while she was undergoing rehabilitation, and they have continued enabling her substance use,” the statement said.
Nwoko’s team linked these concerns to Daniels’ recent online activity, arguing that several of her decisions suggest she is not operating from a stable mental and emotional state. “She is vulnerable, unprotected, and exposed to individuals who exploit her for personal gain. Her online behaviour reflects her current struggles, and she tends to listen more to public voices than to medical professionals or her husband,” the statement added.
The post emphasized that private measures had failed, warning against waiting until irreversible harm occurs. “The reports are authentic. The hospitals and rehabilitation centres did not leak them. The findings speak for themselves. Regina needs consistent treatment, support, and protection. Not denial, not interference, and not enabling. She is a mother, and she deserves the chance to regain her health and stability,” it concluded.
