Senator Ned Nwoko has addressed a viral video circulating online that falsely links him to a young woman rumoured to be his new wife.
In a detailed statement shared via his Instagram page, the politician and businessman made it clear that he has no personal or private relationship with the lady in question. He explained that the woman, alongside her team, had only visited him as part of the Peace Ambassadors Initiative.
“PUBLIC STATEMENT
A video recently brought to my attention shows a young woman who visited with her team under the Peace Ambassadors initiative, led by Ambassador Dr Adejo Sule, and it is now being circulated online with false claims attempting to affiliate me with her. It is unfortunate that social media has become a space where moments are easily distorted for clout and misinformation,” Nwoko wrote.
The senator, who is married to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, said the pictures and videos taken during the visit were entirely professional, emphasizing that such interactions are a normal part of his public life.
“During the visit, photographs were taken with members of the delegation, as is customary whenever I receive guests. This is not unusual; even in public places or outdoor events, people often request to take pictures with me, and I oblige. It is, therefore, mischievous and malicious for anyone to exploit such gestures to fabricate false narratives,” he stated.
He firmly denied any romantic or private connection with the woman and warned those spreading the story to stop immediately.

“Let me state clearly and unequivocally that the news being propagated around her visit is entirely false. I do not have any form of personal or private connection with her,” Nwoko clarified.
The Delta North senator also cautioned that anyone found guilty of circulating or amplifying the false claims would face legal consequences.
“I strongly caution individuals, groups, or media outlets spreading this fabricated story to desist immediately. Any further propagation of this false narrative will attract appropriate legal action. The Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 remains in full force and applies to anyone involved in the deliberate spread of falsehood or defamation in cyberspace,” he warned.
Ned Nwoko’s statement comes amid growing social media speculation over the viral clip, which he described as a “malicious attempt to distort facts for clout.”
