The Ojo household was filled with excitement and heartfelt emotions as Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo hosted an elaborate homecoming party to welcome her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, and their newborn son, Rakeem, back to Nigeria.
The joyous celebration, which took place in Lagos, featured traditional drummers, singing, and dancing as family and friends gathered to welcome the young family. The event was captured in a video shared on Iyabo Ojo’s Instagram page on Tuesday with the caption, “Welcome to Nigeria #rakeem_mk.”
In the viral clip, Priscilla appeared visibly moved as she walked into the festive setting, surrounded by loved ones cheering her on. Her husband, Juma Jux, proudly carried baby Rakeem in his arms, smiling as he greeted guests and joined in the rhythmic beats of the drummers. The scene radiated warmth, love, and celebration, symbolizing not only the family’s reunion but also baby Rakeem’s first-ever visit to Nigeria.
Joining in the joyous moment, entrepreneur and Priscilla’s godmother, Chioma Ikokwu — widely known as Chioma GoodHair — left a touching comment under Iyabo Ojo’s post, writing, “My prince is here.” She also took to her Instagram story to recount how Priscilla had earlier informed her about their return to Nigeria.
“Priscilla called me in America and said, ‘Godmama, I’m bringing your godson to you in Lagos,’ and I said yes!” Chioma wrote, expressing her excitement about finally meeting her godson.
The family’s homecoming comes shortly after the grand 40-day celebration and naming ceremony held for baby Rakeem earlier this month in Tanzania. The lavish event, attended by close friends, relatives, and fans, showcased Tanzanian culture through vibrant music, traditional dance, and stunning décor. Videos from the event captured Juma Jux dancing energetically as guests cheered, while Priscilla glowed in elegant traditional attire.

Following the Tanzanian ceremony, Priscilla shared clips on her Instagram story showing their journey from Tanzania to Nigeria, expressing deep gratitude to her mother and godmother for their unwavering love and support.
“Rakeem is lucky. Thank you, Glamma and Godmother #iyaboojofespris and #chiomagoodhair,” she wrote, accompanied by heart emojis and a short video of baby Rakeem sleeping peacefully in his car seat.
Priscilla Ojo, who welcomed her baby boy in Canada on August 24, 2025, has since been basking in the joy of motherhood. After giving birth, she spent a few weeks in Canada before reuniting with her husband in Tanzania, where he organized a lavish reception in their honour. The event attracted attention across social media, with fans and celebrities alike congratulating the couple on their new addition.
Iyabo Ojo, known for her close bond with her children, has not hidden her excitement about becoming a grandmother. The actress has shared several posts celebrating baby Rakeem’s arrival, often referring to herself as “Glamma” — a stylish twist on the word “grandma.” Her joy was evident throughout the Lagos celebration, where she was seen dancing and embracing her daughter and son-in-law warmly.
The event also marked baby Rakeem’s first official appearance in Nigeria, making it a memorable milestone for the Ojo and Juma families. Friends, fans, and well-wishers flooded social media with congratulatory messages, praising Iyabo Ojo for the beautiful celebration and showering love on the young family.
As the festive sounds of drums echoed through the celebration, it was clear that the day meant more than just a welcome home. It was a moment of unity, gratitude, and love — a reflection of family ties that transcend borders.
With the homecoming now complete, Priscilla, Juma Jux, and baby Rakeem are set to spend time in Lagos with family before resuming their travels. For Iyabo Ojo, however, this marks the beginning of a new and joyous chapter — one filled with laughter, lullabies, and the special bond of being a “Glamma.”
