Lagos politician and governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, Dr. Azeez Olajide Adediran has picked a new wife -after he and his ex-wife, Maryam ended their marriage. Olajide, popularly called Jandor got married to his new wife at a colourful private wedding ceremony held in Qatar penultimate weekend.
Only few friends and family members attended the wedding in Qatar. Jandor sponsored his closest friends and allies on an all expenses-paid luxury trip to the oil rich Arab country for the event. Much is not known about the new Mrs Olajide-Adediran who has kept his relationship with Jandor secret until their wedding.
In March 2023, Jandor unveiled her to members of the PDP family at an event held in Lagos. Speaking at the occasion, Maryam said, “I have been part of this movement and we, my husband and myself agreed that he would be in Nigeria to drive the movement while I will be in the U.S.A with the children. It is disheartening what people do in the nane of politics on the social media. I am not a social media person but I read everything they put up there. I want to use this opportunity to thank you, our mothers, leaders of the party who have been supportive of my husband.”
Things however went south between the couple after the election in 2023, which later resulted in both going separate ways. Meanwhile, the crux of the rift is known only between the duo, sources said.
Jandor has made it obvious that he had opted to move on by tying the knot with his new found love -choosing not to make much noise about it, by taking the Nikkah/wedding ceremony far from home to the gulf nation of Qatar.
