Actor Yul Edochie has welcomed a baby girl with his colleague and partner Judy Austin, marking their third child together.
The 43-year-old shared an emotional video on Instagram of Judy at the hospital, shedding tears of joy as their daughter was handed to her.
Yul captioned the post, “We prayed, our fans prayed. And God answered. Rejoice with us as we welcome our beautiful daughter. Her name is UNIVERSE IFEYINWA STORM YUL-EDOCHIE. Thank You Lord.”
Before this, the couple had welcomed two sons. Yul had openly expressed his wish for a daughter with Judy, stating earlier that he would do anything for her if she gave him a girl.
Their relationship, however, has remained a subject of public controversy since it became known in 2022.
At the time, Yul was still married to his first wife, May Edochie, whom he married in 2004. The union produced four children, but May filed for divorce after Yul introduced Judy as his second wife.
The separation took an even more painful turn in 2023 when May tragically lost their first son, Kambilichukwu. The heartbreaking incident occurred just months after Yul announced his marriage to Judy, further straining the relationship between him and May.
May’s divorce petition cited adultery and her lawyers pointed out that her marriage to Yul was under the Marriage Act, which prohibits polygamy. The legal battle is ongoing, with unresolved matters concerning the custody of their children and division of property.
