Dressed in a mini white gown with designer label accessories, Papaya Ex knew she would turn heads at the trending wedding ceremony between Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian artiste, Juma Jux.
Priscilla is daughter to Nollywood actor, Iyabo Ojo.
It was the white wedding and as usual, the influencer, who had always been at war with drag queen, Bobrisky, sauntered into the venue of the event at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.
As expected, she took photos and newshound were all over her. Cameras, lights, clicks and then, Papaya Ex walked into the garden themed event to have a seat.
However, Papaya Ex didn’t have another opportunity to ‘shine’ at #JP2025 last Saturday.
Kemiashefonlovehaven exclusively gathered that a few minutes after Papaya Ex sat down, a security officer walked up to her and must have informed her that someone wanted to see her outside.
Then, she stood up, took her purse and walked outside with the security personnel. Having done whatever she went to do, she proceeded back to the venue.
But the security officers at the entrance barred her from entering. They asked her to take her leave because the couple didn’t want her at the event!
As expected she tried to cause a scene but she couldn’t gain access to the main venue and after some failed attempts, she left angrily.
Meanwhile, you wouldn’t find photos/videos of Papaya Ex’s activities at #JP2025 last Saturday’s white wedding— just the initial ones she took at the staircase leading to the venue.
This was unlike the #JP2025 traditional wedding where Papaya Ex took photos with some celebrities and even posted where Iyabo Ojo and Toyin Abraham playfully asked why she attached Juma Jux’ s photo on her breast.
“I wouldn’t blame Priscy for barring Papaya Ex from gaining access to her white wedding. That dress she put on for the traditional wedding was off-putting and the couple might not be comfortable with it.
In fact, Priscy was seen instructing her best friend, Enioluwa to collect the wads of naira notes Papaya Ex was pasting on them on the dance floor. Priscy didn’t allow her husband touch the money,” one of the guests told Kemiashefonlovehaven.
The wedding with the hash tag #JP2025 was a two-day event in Nigeria (the couple had the first leg in Tanzania in February 2025) and it had a roll call of celebrities and many dignitaries from all walks of life.
The white wedding, which was preceded by a traditional wedding on Thursday, April 17, 2025 was like a carnival. From Nollywood to the music industry and astute businessmen and women graced the occasion. The beautiful aso ebi (uniform) became a canvass for many designers to exhibit their creative prowess. Of course, the Internet in the Nigerian space, melted.
For Papaya Ex, her uniform stood out and caused tongues to wag. A beautiful floor-length dress with the groom’s photo on her left breast wouldn’t go unnoticed but she carefully placed the bride’s photo on her right hip.
Well, the influencer got some knocks online while a few praised her creativity and sense of style.
During the event, the bride, Priscilla jokingly called out Papaya over the placement of her husband’s photo.
“You put my husband for chest,” she said.
Papaya, laughing, responded, “I am sorry baby, I love you,” adding that her intentions were pure.
In the same vein, Papaya later revealed in an interview with content creator, Egungun of Lagos, that she wore the haute couture to celebrate the love she has for Priscy and Juma Jux.
“Nigerians like to sexualise everything. If I had put the picture somewhere else, they would still complain that it’s close to my coochie,” she told the interviewer and even revealed she made the dress for N4.5million.
