What was meant to be a hush event went viral on social media. For gospel artiste, Tope Alabi, she wanted a private wedding for her daughter Ayomiku with little or no media interference.

Ayomiku is Tope Alabi’s firstborn. A graduate and a songstress with a thriving business, and being the daughter of a celebrated gospel artiste such as her mother, everyone would believe that her parents would throw a loud and lavish wedding for her.
But that wasn’t the case.
Tope Alabi refused to invite all the big men of God she interacts with or calls ‘my daddy.’ She didn’t have many of her colleagues in the gospel music industry in attendance nor did she invite many celebrities.
Well, Ayomiku Alabi had her wedding on March 12, 2025 with a few celebrities in attendance. In fact, many of Tope and Soji Alabi’s friends weren’t invited. Those who were invited were warned to keep it a secret.
“The Mothers’ Night that held a few days before the wedding was only announced to those who were very close to Tope Alabi. She warned all vendors who got the contracts from her event planner to keep it close to their chests. They were all warned not to post anything on social media. In fact, no blogger was invited nor was there a journalist. Any media personalities close to Tope Alabi or her husband were warned not to post any videos or photos online.
The bride’s mum, Tope, was of the opinion that none should post until she posted on her page. The only Nollywood celebrity spotted on the wedding day was Funke Akindele.

However, the ilks of Woli Agba, Dele and gospel artiste, Bidemi Olaoba were present.
As a matter of fact, everyone who thought that the wedding would boast a roll call of big ministers of God and many gospel artistes were disappointed. I only saw Bukola Bekes at the Mothers Night,” an insider close to Tope Alabi told Kemiashefonlovehaven.
But why the did the bride’s parents opt for a hush wedding?
A source exclusively revealed that it was to keep at bay any form of embarrassment or harassment from Ayomiku’s biological dad.

“I think it was because of Olaoye Oyegoke, Tope Alabi’s first husband who is Ayomiku’s father. He could even go online and squeal so many things before the wedding day. He went online when his daughter clocked 20 years old in 2018 and narrated how she was given birth to in a maternity home and that he named her Mary Ayomiku Oyegoke. The online ‘dragging’ when the man revealed how Tope treated him must have triggered the Alabis to have a rethink on having a loud wedding.
Already, there is a contention for who owns Ayomiku and the young lady is claiming that her biological dad is Soji Alabi because he took care of her and not Olaoye who she never knew. All the hush hush was to keep Olaoye and his family members at bay. They didn’t want any embarrassment.”
Before her marriage to Soji Alabi, Tope Alabi was in a relationship with Olalekan Oyegoke, also known as Mayegun Olaoye.
Their relationship resulted in the birth of Ayomikun in 1997.
In November 2020, Olaoye publicly claimed to be Ayomiku’s biological father, alleging that Tope Alabi had denied him access to their daughter for over two decades.
He stated that he and the singer were in a relationship while living in Akure, Ondo State and that their romance led to Ayomiku’s birth.
Tope Alabi, who is now married to Soji Alabi—her husband and music producer—has two other children with him.
