Increases Production To Meet Domestic Demands
Dangote refinery has announced a price reduction for its premium motor spirit (PMS) or petrol.
The new ex-depot price is set at N970 per litre, a decrease from the earlier announced N990 per litre.
This price cut is expected to benefit oil marketers, who will now pay N20 less per litre when purchasing fuel from the Lekki-based refinery.
According to a statement on Sunday by the group’s chief spokesman Anthony Chiejina, the decision to reduce the price is a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians for their support in making the refinery a reality.
“In addition, this is to thank the government for their support as this will complement the measures put in place to encourage domestic enterprise for our collective well-being,” the statement said.
“While the refinery would not compromise on the quality of its petroleum products, we assure you of best quality products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.”
The company said it aims to increase production to meet domestic demand and alleviate any concerns about fuel shortages.
